I know we have a lot but there all claimed [by people who don't even rp in them anymore] we need more territorys for more wolves and i thinm if they haven't rped ina month they should have there pack taken away so more people can have the territory now all there is to do is fight and a lot of territory are claimed. it would be nice to have a territory that could be claimed without fighting we need more land.

I haven't been able to keep watch over who has become inactive, as I've been rather busy with school. When next semester starts, I plan on going through and seeing who hasn't been online the longest that has a claimed territory.

The problem with more territories is that the forum is already quite large, with not many of them being played in. Wolf Life is not all about having your own territory with as many characters as you can, it is about team work, friends, and family. With everyone attempting to have their own pack in their own territory (some of whom already have one or even two characters that each have a territory), there is little opportunity for everyone to interact. If we get to the point that all of the areas are extremely active and "crowded" (such as a large pack in each territory that can be claimed), then I will look into adding more of them.

Maybe another way we can keep territories open is to only allow people to have ONE territory. That way they can still get the experience of running their own pack with their own wolf, at the same time it leaves it open for others to have the same experience. Plus perhaps there should be something of a timeline on how long you can be inactive as a pack before it becomes obsolete cause there are way to many in active members who get a pack then a month later are never heard from again.

I agree though that we do NOT need more territories, however I think that we do need to put something in place to make it easier for people to claim "inactive" territories. Anyways just thought I would put out those suggestions.

its getting very boring when there is only wolves in one place. no other animals are competing for food. hunters are a rare occurrence. i think the admins should create a bunch of people to make things interesting, like randomly going to a territory and say there's a drought or something. cos if the people who rp decide everything, events will go on easily and nothing fun will happen. So just a suggestion.

That is a good suggestion, Kihyah. I've edited the rules now; only one claim per member, and after one month of inactivity your territory will be unclaimed again unless other pack members keep it active or you place a message of absence in the Away board. I'll start the actual unclaiming of territories in a couple of days.

Lanrox, the staff could do that, but really the idea of Wolf Life is for you to write your own story. You get to decide whether a hunter enters, or a dangerous lightning storm forms, or a drought hits and makes it difficult for your characters to survive. You have to make it interesting for yourself. For example, maybe while your wolves are out a bear enters the den and manages to take and kill one of the pups. It would be a tragedy, and you could work off of that for several posts. I am by no means saying you should or have to do this; it is just an example to go off of to make your role plays more interesting.
