You know, it's rude to look over one's shoulder

Leya perched on a rock in the middle of a lake, it caused her to swim and she didn't like swimming much but it also provided the opportune place to hunt, fish only but still. Her golden yellow orbs searched the water around her for any flicker of movement and her tail stayed perfectly still beside her. In fact her whole body was still, the thing was that this She-Wolf had not eaten in days, an injury done to her paw had hindered her movement and ability to hunt prey so she had been forced to wait until it healed, and now even fish would be a good feed for the white wolf.

The moonlight generously shone down on her, cascading her fur in a illumenessent glow, making her white fur seem like it was pure, bright and made her feel a bit like an angel descending to heaven. Her fur suddenly rippled as the water did and without a moments notice she plunged her head into the water and clasped her jaws around the soft body of a decent sized fish. Her tail wagged as her head rose out of the water and her ears twitched as she leapt into the water and swam back to shore, resting on the bank and began to hungrily devour the fish, Leya would have preferred land meat like deer or boar but this would have to do for now.

Khione closed her eyes, taking in all the scents around her. she caught the scent of a boar and followed its trail, her stomach growling hungrily. the young boar squealed when he spotted her and rounded on her with his newly-sprouted tusks. Khione dodged nimbly and pounced, the tusks grazing her side. she snapped his neck and got pounded by his hooves. she yelped and tasted blood in her mouth. Khione limped over to the dead boar and ate heartily, the caught the scent of a she-wolf in the wind she dragged the boar towards the scent and set it down. She walked up to the wolf warily.

Hearing the yelp of what she knew was a wolf, female at that and her head shot up about to take a bite of the fish. Sniffing the air she smelled just faintly the scent of another she wolf and her ears flattened, why hadn't she noticed earlier, probably because the scent of the fish overwhelmed her senses, and the wind didn't help much either.
Her ears twitched as she heard something come closer and her eyes soon fell on the she-wolf she had smelt and heard. When she saw the freshly hunted boar her stomach growled a bit and she stood up from the fish, her fur hackling and Leya growled at the wolf, whom was near the boar.

Leya could smell the blood of the boar and it smelled wonderful, fresh meat, perhaps she could fight this wolf for it. Taking a cautious step forward, her tail raised proudly she growled deeply.

Khione growled she wasn't going to let this wolf take her kill. She raised her tail defensively, though she was quite hesitant. she hated getting into fights, although she was big for her age. Khione looked Leya over and slowly, she ripped out a leg of boar and pushed it towards Leya. She dragged the boar away and resumed eating.

Leya blinked, confused as the leg was pushed towards her, looking over at the wolf she stopped growling and sat, guessing that the wolf would rather share then fight, fare enough for her, at least she got food.
Sitting on her hind quarters she nudged the leg then started eating, giving a quick bark of thanks to the other wolf but still keeping an eye on her.

Khione acknowledged the bark by flicking her ear. She finally sat up and smacked her lips contentedly. washing her muzzle and taking a drink from the stream, she perched on a rock not far from Leya and stood there watching her.

It took Leya longer to eat even though she had less but when she had finished she went to wash her muzzle, aware that the other wolf was watching her, eventually Leya sat in front of her, a few steps back and eyed her curiously "Your not a fighter are you?"

Khione shrugged. " I don't like to fight. My name's Khione, what's yours?"

Leya tilted her head a bit and quickly had a drink of water before answering "Leya. Thankyou for the boar, if you didn't come I probably would have been stuck eating fish" a throaty chuckle followed

" you're welcome" Khione smiled. " so do you have a pack?"

"No, i've never really been apart of one" Leya sighed and stepped over to Khione sniffing her scent then sat beside her "What about you?"

Khione shook her head

"Huh that so, two lone wolves ay" Leya blinked and gazed up at the moon

" yeah..." Khione smiled

Leya looked at Khione and whined, smelling blood "Are you okay? That boar didn't get you did it?"

Khione sighed. " nothing serious, i'm used to getting pounded."

"well thats not good, you should really either take care of yourself or learn to fight better" Leya smiled a toothy grin

Khione smiled. "well, nice knowing you, i want to go off and find a mate. on second thought, can you join me? i could use some company,"

Leya thought about it for a moment then nodded and stood "I guess so, heh maybe i could find one on the way"

Khione grinned and headed to the hunting grounds.

Leya followed behind and smiled wolfishly, she thought maybe she had just found a friend.
