Complicating Thoughts

"Thanks." Elle said as she nibbled on the meat.

Irina shrugged and disappeared into the cave even deeper. Snowstar sighed. "Come in, it might rain." she said.

Elle stepped inside the cave and sat down by the entrance. "So, how did you two meet?" She asked through a mouth full of deer.

Snowstar smiled and laughed quietly. "That is a good question, and it deserves a good answer. I was in lunar plains. There, I met a male named Blade. I really felt uncomfortable, because he spoke like he was going to kill me or something. He never did. I went into a den, and there was Irina coming in with a rabbit. She told me about herself and we became. We never leave eachthers side." Snowstar said, before stretching.

Kyle woke up from his nap. He walked out of his cave and streched. "What to do. What to do." He said yawning. Kyle decided to re-mark his territory. He bounded off into the forest in search of his boundary he set long ago.

"You two are close. Where's Blade now?" Elle said as she licked her lips.

Snowstar shrugged and sighed. "I don't know where he is. He was a loner...so he could be anywhere." she said. That thought struck her with fear, and something else. She narrowed her eyes.

"Oh. Do you have any family?" Elle asked

Snowstar eyes dilated. You could tell it was a touchy topic. "That is none of your business." she growled and disappeared a different way, leaving Elle all alone in the front room.

Elle winced and lay down. Oops. "Sorry!" She called after Snowstar

Snowstar sat down. she heard Elle and began crying. 'I wish I was dead!' she thought. She fell asleep. Her mother walked up. 'Snowstar, get up. I love you. So does your father. I'm sure Shadow would want you to move on.' 'But, I just ran away. I'm so sorry.' She whined. Kastia shushed her. 'You don't need to cry. We'll be together again.' She said. Then, Snowstar's mom began fading. 'No, dont leave me!' But she was gone. Snowstar woke up. It was just a dream

Elle's tail drooped as she realised Snowstar was crying. She got up to go to Snowstar but hesitated and sat down instead.

Snowstar noticed someone was behind her. "Mom? Oh, never mind." she said. She stood up and sat down, facing Elle.

Kyle finished marking his territory and went back to his cave. He sat down and sighed.

Elle frowned as Snowstar called for her mother, but decided not to press her, nibbling at the food again.

Snowstar sighed and stretched out. "Hhhhey." she said, stretching it out until it sounded like more of a sigh.

"Hi." Elle said and wagged her tail. "So... you said you guys were at the Lunar Plain. Why did you move here?"

Snowstar sighed and shrugged. "I needed a friend...and I found one. So I left and came here." she said, swishing her tail.

Kyle finally got bored and decided to take a walk. He twisted through the forest and continued down a familiar path.

Snowstar sighed and flicked her tail. "So, what brought you to the lone wolf life?" she asked, wanting to change the subject.

"Well... I couldn't rely on my parents forever. There were too many pups to take care of." Elle said, yawning.

Snowstar smiled. "Seems understandable." she said, swishing her tail.

"So... What's your plan? Are you going to start a pack here?" Elle grinned.

Snowstar began thinking about the possibilities, but dismissed them. She had enough family. She didn't want more problems on her mind. "No." she said dully and went back to the main room. She looked disdainfully at the fawn. 'It's not worth it.'

Kyle began walking into a territory he didn't know. He twisted through trees until he found a cave. When he looked inside he saw Snowstar. 'Oh crap!' He thought and tried to sneak away, but stepped on a twig. He cringed at the sound it made.
