((This board is open to anyone who would like to role-play with me, although I do ask that you please post at least a paragraph per post so that there is plenty for me to create a decent, detailed response to. Thanks! <3))

Fears (Open) BleuReference

She had been wandering for what seemed like ages, but had in reality it had only been a few weeks since her last interaction with her own kind. The lone female wolf made her way slowly through the seemingly untouched terrain, soon coming to a stop as she was confronted with a large cliff. Darn. Her blue eyes scanned the area, looking for a way around it, and finding herself once again confronted with a problem. Water. Her ears pinned backwards anxiously as she skidded to a stop in her search, backing up away from the liquid and lowering her tail as the hair on her back stood on end. Had she been any other normal wolf, this place would have been perceived as gorgeous and even romantic. But she wasn't strictly a normal wolf. She was terrified of water.

Her parents had told her stories of wolves drowning in their pack's river rapids, and even her mother had nearly lost her life when she had first joined the pack. It had been the beta male that had pulled her from the rapids and saved her mother's life. Bleu, who was a very young pup when she heard these stories, had always feared water from the beginning. Others had told her that drowning was the worst way to die, for a wolf's sole could never rest and would be doomed to flow unceasingly with the current until the end of time. Her parents' fear of water had ensured that she never learned to swim, and whenever she had encountered water on her travels, she had afforded long detours in order to avoid it.

Now she was confronted with the horrible liquid once more. With an anxious swallow and a soft, nervous whine, the blue-tinted female made her way around the blue mass, heading for what appeared to be a flat, safe ridge on the opposite side. There she could avoid the water, and there she would be safe. But how could she get there? Her eyes scanned the water nervously until they fell on a trail of large stones, likely used by others as a way to pass easily to the other side. But to her, this would be no easy feat. But she saw no other option, so she carefully made her way over. As she reached the first, she swallowed nervously, leaping carefully to the next and trembling slightly in fear.

Now she found herself completely surrounded by water, and as she looked back at the place she had jumped from, it looked as if it were miles away, as did the next stone to which she needed to leap. That's when the terror set in. Her ears pinned backwards in fear, and she froze, unable to make herself return, and too frightened to make herself move on. Now she found herself stuck, frozen in fear and surrounded by water. The beauty of the scenery did not mater, the shining moon faded from her mind. All she could think about was the terror and the rapid beating of her heart.
