Canus smiled and so did Ajax. "It is our pleasure." he said. With that, they ran into the cave, leaving light streaming after Canus.

Jasmine followed Canus and Ajax, not knowing what else to do.

Meanwhile, Fenrir burst into Spirits's lair. The demons looked at him, dumbfounded, until Spirits began laughing. "Well well. If it isn't old Fenrir. Well, your too late. Darkness has fallen. Attack him!" He howled. A great pulse of light filled the room, pushing the demons back. Midnight was cleared of shadow. He smiled broadly. "Its almost to easy." He said aloud. Spirits stood up and snarled. "Not for long. I have grown to strong for my brother. No light will ever chase away all the darkness." He said. Fenrir snorted. "Because you only think of fire light. The wrath of Canus is like a thousand suns. You better run while you have the chance!" He snarled back. Spirits was dismayed and growled. Midnight growled back. Suddenly, his ears began ringing, and a blinding flash lut the whole room up. The demons were breaking and fading away. Spirits cowered and ran away as fast ad he could. Canus came, his fur shining amist the great light.

Jasmine was with Canus. She stood behind him. She saw Midnight but said nothing, in fear of Spirits doing something to him or her.

Canus looked at the two black wolves. They looked exactly alike-except for Midnight's white paw and blind eye. He smiled and walked over to Midnight, leaving Jasmine with Ajax. "Looks like you beat us to him." Canus joked. Fenrir laughed. "Come now Midnight. Your free." Said the god. Midnight smiled and bowed. "You have saved us multiple times. We are dept." He said. Canus shook his head."Oh no, you are not in dept to me at all. In fact it was getting boring in Lupus. Thank you for the fun." he concluded. Midnight smiled and looked at Jasmine. "Hullo! Are you OK Jazz?" He asked.

"Yeah! Are you?" Jasmine asked walking up to Midnight.

"Uh huh. Light is very powerful." He said before looking to the company. They smiled before a dazzling light lit up the whole cave. "Wait! We have something you need to take back!" He said. Canus nodded. "Don't worry 'bout it Midnight! Ajax took the shell before we came to Spirits lair!" the god hollered. Midnight laughed and nodded, and slowly the light faded, and the company was gone, and Midnight and Jazz were in their own cave.

Jasmine layed down and laughed. "This has been the craziest adventure I've ever had!" She said, still laughing.

Midnight chuckled. "You have no idea...and my favorite was when you were captured and I got lost in the shags." He said. "Not that it was fun." He said, laughing.

Jasmine laughed. "My favorite par was when I kick those shadow wolves tails! Even though one got a hold of me..." She trailed off, looking at her wounded hind leg. Midnight hadn't noticed yet.

Midnight laughed quietly at Jazz's favorite part. "Yeah, wait...what?" He stuttered, confused. Then he noticed her injury. "Oh, are you OK?" He asked, concerned.

"Yeah....it hurts." Jasmine said whincing when she moved it.

Midnight furrowed his brow and sighed. "I'll bandage it. But, it was made by a shadow wolf. I'm sure you just need to shine bright light on it and....I'll just help the wound." He said.

Midnight smiled and grabbed a torch. He breathed into it and it grew bright white. Midnight then put it close to the wound. Dark blood began seeping out and fading into the air. soon, all the dark blood was cleansed of, and the pain left. Then he bandaged it and sighed. For a killer, he had some good healing skills.

Midnight smiled warmly. "Don't mention it. Get some rest, i'm going hunting." he said. With that he left the cave swiftly and silently, fading into the darkening sky-soon he was engulfed in the mist.

"Okay...." Jasmine muttered, even though he was gone. She sighed abd fell asleep.

Midnight ran through his territory and stopped at the golden gate. He looked at the stars and sighed. Midnight was tired of being chased by Spirits. Gee...go, bother someone else for once.' he thought. He sighed and looked back into the forest. Something about it felt ominious- like it forbode any life. He furrowed his brow. The forest seemed to loom over him. He narrowed his eyes as he caught a snuffling in tye brush. He bounded into the woods and barged in on a deer's sleep. It instantly stood up, but he was too late, and Midnight's body crashed on it, breaking it's spine. The deer lay limp, in Midnight jaws. It was rather small, and barely had antlers. Midnight dragged into the night without giving it a second thought.

Jasmine was running in a field near the Golden hill. Midnight was teaching her some tips on hunting when a deer ran out and trampled him. "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Midnight! " She screamed as tears streamed down her face. He lay there limp and.his eyes lost all color and life. "Please, come back to me...." Jasmine whispered crying.

Jasmine was crying in her sleep. She twiched every now and then and her tail would move around.

As Midnight neared the cave, he heard soft whimpers. He dropped the deer and ran into the cave. He nudged Jasmine, firmly, before quickly dragging the deer inside. "Are you hungry?" He whispered.

Jasmine woke to a soft nudge. "Yeah, a little." She replyed. Her stomach began to growl very loudly. "Okay, mabey more than a little bit." She said laughing.

Midnight smiled softly and lay down, letting Jasmine eat. A question buzzed at the back of his head though. Why was Jasmine crying? 'Is she ok? Did i do something wrong, is she remembering something...did i say anything?' the question throbbed in his mind.

Jasmine ate until she was full, leaving plenty for Midnight. She looked over at him. "What's wrong? What are ya thinkin' 'bout? " She questioned.
