Moonlight lays in the snow near the den and rests a little "Thanks for helping? Was it me who helped him or vice versa?" she qusked herself and sees that Jay had disappeared. She yawns, knowing that he probably went off to think, and streches out lazily in the snow trying to numb her wounds.

Jay stops a few miles out from the den, it was really a little walk for him he turns realizing his rump hurt like heck. A white hot pain now searing through it he turns to find it bleeding slightly and that it had dripped all this way, finding a spot near the creek where he could sit and tend to it he starts licking at it to stop it. Now that he was actually turning to it fully he realized it was pretty bad. The fox had managed to rip the scab off but luckily it had healed enough that he wasn't gushing blood everywhere, but it certainly wasn't a good thing either. He whimpers softly as he tends to it then places it into the snow to numb it and help clot up the bleeding. He shivers softly as he sits watching the running water flow over the smooth rocks upon the shoreline. It was peaceful and a beautiful sight to behold, calming him and his mind so much so that he laid down to take another short wolf nap. This time waking after only a few minutes to raise his hinds out of the frozen water to check it, finding the bleeding had stopped he continued on his walk away from the den.

Moonlight soon falls asleep with ,again, one thought on her mind ' What if he doesn't come back?' she starts to snore lightly in her sleep, gaining her energy back slowly. She dreams of being alone again, wandering the frozen tundras, cities, and towns. To her surprise she's still alive. She suddenly jolts awake and looks around, wondering if there was anything around.

Jay looks back towards the den, she wanted to stay here start her own pack live her life out in the cold. He didn't his mind having been on his family again his heart longed to be with them out of this frozen heck, almost everyday was survival of the fittest and he certainly knew that he was always on the loosing side of that battle. An antler to the gut, chewing his own tail off and a fight with three foxes that any normal wolf would've handled on their own but had presented a challenge to him. He hung his head, she definitely didn't need him around of course then at that moment he realized no one needed him. His family had abandoned him and it was time to let them go, as he always did when these situations presented themselves he ran fast and hard but he couldn't out run what his heart was telling him...that he was better off alone.

Moonlight stands up and streches "Wonder what he's doing." she says and walks over to the deer carcass to tear an ear off. She lays by the deer and chew on it like a dog would to a squeeky toy. She stands up again and sniffs around to find a creek, the ear hanging from her maw as she did. Her tail wagged as she follows Jay's scent and finds the creek "Hmm." she set down the ear in the snow and laps up some water. She actualy didn't know how much she needed another wolf. She wouldn't have learned how to be a little more social, or confidant. After a minute of drinking water, Moonlight flops down and went back to chewing on the ear again. She kept at it until it started to get dark.

Jay had followed the creek until he found a shallow part to cross at, it was cold crossing but after he soon found his rabbit friend who ducked into a hole apparently the little thing had found a cozy little home after all. Uninterested in the hare for supper he continued forward, sniffing at the ground as he snorts in a bit of scent he paws at the snow to kick up some dirt and he smelled faintly held in the particles his family. But instead of following he moved on, knowing that even if he did return they wouldn't want him there and would more then likely chase him off or try to start a fight. He felt hopeless and his will to survive was almost none existent, he traveled without rest into the night not having a den to sleep in and not feeling like falling into a dream world of fiction where everything was all better. As he crested over a hill the sun rise caught his attention and it got him to thinking, if the day could start over so could he and that's what he planned on except he'd live life how he wanted free. It was better being alone, he didn't have anyone to make him mad or sad plus anything he did could make him happy. He could play with the animals of the forest that he wanted to...in essence the wolf was learning...NO PARENTS. So he decided to lay down on the hill and roll the rest of the way down giving out a solid 'WEEEEEEEEEE' before he crashed into a bush and rising up he shook out his fur giggling like a pup before prancing off to find himself a nice place in the warming sun to sleep.

Moonlight, who was now sleeping in the den, wakes up and notices that the other wolf wasn't there. She struggles to get her balence when she stood up and once she has it, she walks out of the den, looking around. All she smelt were old scents from him, and something came into mind 'He left, gone forever.' at that thought, she colapsed and doesn't move, now thinking it was her fault. "I shouldn't have joined the fight and won. Or even said more about me like that. Maybe it was the fact that I helped more than myself." she thought aloud to herself. For the rest of the night, she just laid there, still as ever. She fell asleep and didn't bothered to wake up, unless an animal thought she was dead. Moonlight was thinking more and more on how she needed him. Who's going to comfort me when I have bad dreams? on and on went the List of Questions going through her mind. Finally she gets up and howls as loud as she could, which, she hoped, got at least another wolf's attention.

After howling many nights, and staying alive, Moonlight runs off in a random direction. Not caring if she ran into a pack or anything. Her sleek form and camouflauge made her hard to see and hear. She smelled the air, sensing a old scent of who she thought was a dream. She also sensed a pack scent line was coming close so she ran along side it.
