Her words and tender affections made him melt, his shaking having ceased but his heart pounded away even harder in his chest. She was falling for him, the awkward hunter male of his pack HA! if only they could see him now. He'd laugh in his brothers faces and probably wag his butt in them too just to add to taunting them since he was imagining after all. He had this gorgeous female who wasn't wanting a large strong male, but then it dawned on him that she was small and maybe to her he was a large strong male and that made him puff out his chest a bit in pride. He hadn't really had anything to be proud about before so he had to do a little mental boasting while he had the opportunity. Then he turns and kisses her muzzle a few times, wanting to show her that he too wanted to give her all the love and attention she deserved. They both were outcasts it seemed and for some reason fate had chanced them to meet, he wondered if maybe this was the destiny he had heard about so many times from his parents who had spoken on him being a fighter as his destiny...but now it was becoming clearer and clearer that everything he was...might just be because he was made to love Leto and take care of her, with that he started to murr and his tail began to wag as well.

Leto squirmed softly, trying to scoot closet again and whining when she couldn't as she continued to kiss him. He kissed along her muzzle then and the fae sighed contently, kissing his jaw a few times. She could hear his heart thudding away and her own raced along with his, her tassel swaying a bit faster as he murred to her. Happy whimpers escaped the femme, giving her brutes jaw and chest gentle tender nibbles in her little excitement. She squirmed then and gave out a little whine when her hip hurt but refused to stop kissing him as she had started her way up his throat, giving it gentle little nips which were partially from her instincts of being in heat working her up but she was trying to ignore it for him plus with her hind the way it was she didn't think she should be moving much.

Titus smiles and just enjoys her affections, his mind did think about mating with her after all she was in heat but he too landed on the fact that her hinds were injured from those darn gators so he just enjoyed what she was able to do. He too tried to scoot closer but when she whimpered he was quick to stop as he realized that too probably hurt her so instead he just holds still for her since she just kept giving him kisses and nuzzles. He wasn't complaining either because everything she did made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside, something he hadn't felt for a very long time and it was nice...comforting even to the point it forced a yawn out of him as he started relaxing and realizing that his body was exhausted from not only the running from the gators but his hunting and traveling to the marshes...it was all finally catching up with him and his eyelids started to grow heavy.

Leto rolled her tongue out over his aud tenderly several times as her kisses had started to turn into her grooming him affectionately. She gradually moved down towards his brow then along his forehead before she moves to his cheek and down his neck. Still working herself up unintentionally the little fae squirmed a few times but not by much, every once in awhile nibbling at a spot on her brute as he laid there enjoying her affections. When she finally looked over to see she was putting the brute to sleep she whined softly, moving to nose his jaw gently and let pathetic little whimpers escape her to him as she was all worked up and the last thing she was thinking about was sleep at the moment.

Titus' eyes shot open and he his head jarred up to hit on the ceiling, " I'm awake!" he lets out as if caught doing something he wasn't supposed to then realizes where he is and shyly looks away for a moment a little embarrassed she had caught him drifting off. " Sorry..." he whispers as he turns back to face her and gives her cheek a few soft licks. He wasn't quite sure why she had woken him up though as she had seemed intent on keeping him awake. So he decided to play the detective and try to figure out why by watching what she would do next as all she was doing was rubbing into him...OOooohhhh, it finally dawned on him she was in heat and might be wanting to mate with him. He swallows hard and his mouth seemed dry all of a sudden as his heart started to pound in his chest not sure what he should or shouldn't do.

Leto flinched and whimpered as her brute banged his head on the ceiling of the den, shifting so she could lean forward and kiss his crown where it had hit. He looked at her then and she could tell he was trying to figure out why she had woken him. The femme squirmed and tried to rub herself against him, whimpering quietly and giving his chest little pushes with her snout with a few needy buffs. When Titus didn't try anything and she remembered her injured hind the fae let her crown fall onto her brutes fores, worked up and not knowing what to do about it. A long loud whine escaped the little fae then, frustrated and a soft sigh passed through her nares.

Titus wasn't quite sure what to do but he had an idea, it was one given to him by watching his brothers try to coax females into mating with them. (Yeah sorry can't go any further then that kids.)

Sometime later...
Titus nuzzles into his Leto and yawns softly, wanting just to snuggle up with her and fall asleep. He lays his chin across his fores needing to feel close to her. He lets his blue orbs shut as his whole body relaxed against her frame, careful not to harm her hind quarters as they were still clean and undisturbed. He knew from being picked on by his brothers that punctures usually took a long time to heal but these hadn't seemed very deep at all when he had cleaned them so he figured on a few days at most for them to fully be healed as long as he took care of them to make sure they were taken care of correctly. Lucky for him he had been through a lot of different scrapes to know a bit about keeping the wound clean and healing times, unfortunately enough he also knew that healing times depended also on the wolf's willingness to allow the wounds the proper treatment to heal as some pushed themselves too far too fast. But he would make sure she was well taken care of. He softly whispers to his Leto, " I love you."

Leto bathed in her warm tingles as she lied against her brute, orbs closed and completely relaxed against him. The faes orbs opened just for a few moments as he yawned and moved to snuggle into her more and she did the same, his yawn forcing her own out of him and she stretched slowly. Curling back into him she nosed tenderly into his chest, sighing contently and orbs closing as she listened quietly to his breathing and heartbeat. She was already almost half asleep when her brute breathes to her but it didn't stop her heart from racing a little faster. "I love you too" The femme breathed to her Titus before relaxing back into him, soon starting to fall asleep again as she presses closer with a little squirm.

" Good.." he whispers before licking her cheek once and settling in then. He needed his sleep and so with that being said he simply started to listen to her breathing softly as she slowly slipped beneath the blanket of slumber. Her breath so calming and soothing, it relaxed the brute into a sleep that was somewhat disturbed by the dreams he saw.

Leto sighed contently into her brutes chest after his kiss to her cheek, soon falling asleep against him. The fae slept peacefully, breathing quietly into his fur and only moving to press closer or just get more comfortable in her sleep. The fae woke a few times during the night, not moving but just yawning and stretching her fores usually as she listened silently. It was raining heavily and the thunder liked to torment her sleep. The femme listened to the rolling booms until they died down and allowed her to fall asleep again.

He too had woken several times, a few because of the loud crack of thunder jarred him awake. Those times he noticed she had woken too and he gently gives her a few kisses to try to calm her down. The other times were just because of his strange dreams, they kept changing on him but made sense when he was sleeping. The worst one was the last, in all the torment of his mind Leto cast him off not wanting to be with him because he wasn't a fighter and his largest brother Caladus stole her away from him. He tried fighting for her, never having done so for anyone else but it didn't matter because he was too weak and small. It forced a whimper out of him when he woke before the sun rose and he needed air, so he slips out of the den only to sit next to it while he gasped in the cool fresh morning air to try and chase off the terrible dream. He sighs softly only to watch the sky slowly start to grow lighter and lighter, the birds local to the area were starting to sing all at once as though they had some kind of system set up to only start singing at a certain hour. He smiles softly as he could see a mama goose and her little ones following closely behind before they all slipped into the water of the marshes. He rises and slips back into the den not wanting Leto to worry should she wake and see him missing so he waited, wanting to go catch her breakfast.

Leto whimpered and fussed lightly as her Titus moved from beside her, squirming uncomfortably in her sleep as she pulled her fores tight against her chest. Shoving her snout between her fores slightly the femme whined before going still and quiet for awhile, the only motion coming from her a twitch of the paw or aud. A few times the femme gave out a muffled whine or whimper, having grown cold from her brute removing himself from her. She slept uneasily until Titus finally returned to her, her whole body seeming to relax as he wrapped his frame around hers and a content sigh escapes her nares. Leto finally woke after a bit, pressing into her mates chest and yawning heavily before she licked her nose sleepily. Stretching her fores slowly she gave out a quiet whine, her frame aching horribly still from being in heat and she started to smell her own overbearingly sweet scent. She licked her nose again before giving her brutes chest kisses gently, wanting to just kiss him as her thoughts trailed back to last night. She shivered pleasantly.

Titus yawns softly as he waits for her to wake and when she finally did he smiled warmly as he was greeted with kisses and snuggles. His tail softly began to wag behind him before he let his own tongue loll out to start kissing her crown affectionately. It wasn't long before he moved to her hinds to groom the wounds softly, careful not to disturb the scabs but to clear any dirt that may have gathered there over night. He then stretches as his stomach growls very angry at him that he was still waiting to go hunting. " Well if you're up for it I really must get us something to eat and I'd be open to you joining me again. You were quiet the last time and no not in the marshes, I've found better prey just a ways off from here well I think I'm going on what my nose told me earlier when I had to step outside for some air." he explains to her, ready to get down to business and do some serious hunting.

Leto's orbs closed and she leaned into her mates kisses with a content sigh, tilting her crown this way and that to expose more of her crown or jaw as he kissed her. Her tassel swayed gently, careful not to touch her injured hind. The faes chin laid against the dens floor then as her brute moved and she soon felt him licking her hind, shivering suddenly and letting a quiet wanting whine escape through her throat. Her mind off in another place when her brute began to speak she had to blink before she listened, tucking her fores beneath her chest. "It'd probably better if you just go. With my bum leg I'll probably just be making racket the whole time, besides, you're the hunter." She smiled and kissed her brutes chin, letting her kisses trail up his jaw for just a few moments.

Titus gave out his own whine then, he didn't want to leave her but knew she was right just the scent of her if they were to get caught in a cross wind would scare away any animal he had any hopes of catching but he still didn't want to go all the same. He kisses her several times before he finally nodded, " Okay I'm going...I promise I'll be back so don't you go running off without me." he says in a whimper giving her a few more kisses before he started to pull himself away headed for the den entrance already his mind starting to plan how he was going to go about catching the prey he had picked out and hoped with how long he had taken that it hadn't moved to far in that time but he just hadn't been able to help himself.

Leto whimpered softly having heard his whine of not wanting to leave her but she leaned heavily into his kisses, not wanting him to leave her either as her chest was already starting to ache but they needed to eat. He breathed to her not to go running off and she kissed up his throat with a whine, knowing he was going away and she didn't know when he'd be coming back. "I'm not going anywhere.." She almost whispered as he kissed her even more, tilting her crown this way and that and returning the kisses whenever she could. He started to pull away then and a long whine escaped through her throat, her whole frame aching horribly as she mumbled out to her brute. "Titus.. Hurry back." She breathed with a soft sad tone, knowing she just had to lay here and wait once he disappeared from the entrance of their den.

His frame shook for a moment as he whimpered one last time, " I'll be as fast as the wind." then he darted out of the den entrance and off for the meal. It had moved but not too far, he wasn't sure exactly what IT was but it smelled worth the tracking to figure that out. Hopefully it was something edible to them, he certainly knew quite a few different species but there were a few that smelled different like the gators had there own strange odor he had never encountered before too. This however smelled like it was delicious at least from the wound it was tending, it was taken care of but kept wet mostly so he figured the creature must favor the water but it smelled like wet fur so it certainly wasn't gator or anything remotely like that. Staying down wind of the creature it was easy to follow and he wouldn't be given away by his own scent. His eyes focused ahead as he speedily weaved his way ahead through the damp foliage that was dampening his own fur, trying to catch a glimpse of his prey.

Leto sighed softly, laying her crown down slowly after having watched her brute dart out of the den to go fetch them breakfast. Her frame ached horribly, her stomach turning as abandonment tried to overwhelm her and she whined quietly to herself. He's coming back.. She thought as she tried to reassure herself, knowing somewhere that the way he acted toward her just screamed that he was coming back and that she should just forget everyone else who had left her. The femme sighed again, trying to relax and deciding to tend to her wounds as she turned to tenderly roll her ribbon across her hind. She was careful bit to disturb any scabs that had formed, just cleaning them ever so gently. It wasn't long before she was finished though, sighing boredly and wondering what she had done before Titus had come to her. Sniffing lightly she moved slowly to lay her crown at the dens entrance, closing her orbs to enjoy the gentle rays of sun.

Titus smelled the creature stop and he hesitated for a moment, his eyes searching for whatever it was. But when it didn't move for a few minutes he realized it hadn't stopped because it had spotted him in his rush to get back to Leto. He took in a strong whiff and gauged about how far it was from him based on the smell and started to stalk it at a light trot before coming withing yards of the thing and slowing to a walk while getting low to his belly to crawl towards it. Still he couldn't see it too hidden in the thick green grasses of the marsh where he had unwittingly wondered into but his prey within feet of him it was impossible to stop him now. So focused on his next move that nothing at that moment mattered but his prey. Then he moved his head moving from side to side almost like the movement of a snakes through the grass until he was upon the creature and locking his jaws around it quickly and within chewing at it several times he broke its back killing it. It was a rabbit, a fairly big one and male was now a clear scent marker to anyone standing that close. He picks the carcass up and quickly makes for the den.

Leto yawned softly, the sun quickly warming the dark fur along her face and crown and it started to make her drowsy. Eventually the femme dragged herself out of the den, wanting the sun to warm her more and the grass had dried with the suns warmth. Limping up out of the entrance Leto stretched with a quiet grown, stretching her injured hind just slightly before she slipped down into the warm grass. A content sigh escaped her, stretching her long fores out as she bathed in the warm mornings sun that she didn't get much when she had secluded herself in the dense marshes.

He followed his trail back to the den not wanting to happen upon any surprises on his way and he kept an eye out for any predators following him but finding none. He hopped through the grass at points where it was tallest and thickest, as he made his way back he thought to himself that he might give her the rabbit and fetch something else for himself real quick while she ate. He groans to himself not much liking the idea of having to be away from her longer with her injury able to attract even more unwanted attention from predators with the smell of a fresh kill. He perked his head up as he got about half way already excited to be heading back to present her with the first dibs.

As the sun warmed Leto's fur she yawned heavily, glancing around the quiet terra for a moment to make sure nothing was spying on her. Closing her orbs the fae sighed contently, stretching her long, thin frame out across the warm grasses and giving out a gentle Mm as the warmth felt good. Her frame relaxing she still ached from being in heat and having her mate away from her, twitching and aud before they perked to keep an ear out for anything that might want to sneak up on her. Not trusting her hearing very well she scented the air every now and then, her sense of smell much keener.

Soon he smelled her, her scent more potent with her in heat it made his tail wag knowing he wasn't far now and he even picked up his pace a little wanting to show her the catch of the day. Then he caught a glimpse of her laying out sunning herself and he stopped dead in his tracks as he dropped the meat. He gulps as the gleam in her coat showed off her curves perfectly, he quickly licks his fores and wipes his face with the sides of his fores wanting to make himself look presentable before he picked up the carcass again and started forward a little swagger in his step as he approached his female.

Leto smelled her Titus before she heard him, orbs opening and a smile quickly spread across her maw as she saw him with his kill, walking towards get with a proud little swagger in his step. Her tassel swayed quickly along the grasses, whimpering happily as she squirmed, wanting to just jump up and kiss him but the gashes in her hinds prevented her from moving very quickly at all. She just waited for him then, tucking her fores under her chest as she sat up and squirmed impatiently.

Titus quickly galloped over to her then unable to stand being away from her anymore and seeing her reaction to seeing him only made him want to go faster. He stopped right in front of her and dropped the rabbit to nose it forward towards her as he planted his rump on the ground while his tail whipped at his hinds in his excitement to bring her breakfast. Enjoying that he had provided for his mate such a decent sized breakfast that she could easily fill her belly on, he felt rather satisfied and ears perked as he waited to hear if she approved so anxious he shook slightly but it too was a good feeling.
