Jay finds himself at the Lunar Plain

Jay finishes cleaning her wounds in no time and noses her softly with a smile, " Silly...come on we got some deer well actually Willow did most the work I just helped. Anyways I'm starving lets go eat." he says moving to slip out of the den, his belly already growling and putting up a fuss that the only thing he had in it now was dirt. He waits for Amber outside of the entrance waiting so he could show her where he had left Willow with the two meals that were just ready to be eaten up, his stomach grumbles angrily at him again.

Willow lays down, tucking her front paws under her chest and staring into the forest. Her ears twitching still, although not really fast. She gazes into the brush, her eyes transfixed on the distant mountains. She flicks one of her ears toward the den, she could hear Jay's belly rumbling. Willow gets up and looks at Jay, her eyes questioning him if he was gonna take a bite yet. Her own stomach was growling. But she would wait until the two companions had eaten.

Tassel swaying Amber's orbs opened when Jay spoke and moved away, stretching her lengthy pedistals as she listened before pulling herself up onto her pads again. Yawning heavily the fae gave out a soft whine, starting to follow the brute and stretching out her back at the same time. Limping heavily still she followed Jay outside, belly rumbling softly as she looked forward to an actual meal for once, she couldn't remember what deer tasted like. With a murr the femme rubbed into his hip to follow him to their kill, already able to smell it.

Jay hadn't been expecting her rub against him while he had stood to walk and had almost tripped onto his face but had luckily caught himself. He gives a shy little smile towards her before moving forward to the deer, he too was looking forward to the feast and once there dug in immediately. Teeth pulling apart the flesh of the calf's leg he starts to chew almost like a cow at his meat and almost melts as he lays down into the terrain to enjoy the savory flesh of the deer.

Amber followed Jay down to the deer, watching him rip into the calves flesh and her stomach twisted pleasantly. Swallowing hard she sunk down next to Jay and tore into the little things chest cavity with a soft, pleasure filled growl. Her tassel flickered softly, her good fore holding down the carcass as she tugged long strips of flesh from the things ribs. Murrs and growls escaped the little fae, only fading so she could swallow as her audits flicked.

Willow watched for a second, smiling her funny little grin as they ate. Stretching, she walks over to a tree and leans her back against it, her fores and back paws up in the air. The tree's roots were large enough for her to lay on, so she did. Her belly was growling and her ears had stopped twitching. And soon enough, her restlessness kicked back in, "I'm going for a walk." Willow barks as she walks away, deeper into the woods. She began humming a little song that the Pack howlers would sing when she was a pup. It was a sweet little song, like one you would hear a mother coo to her newborn babies. Sniffing the air, she almost smiled, a puma was close by. But it wouldn't harm them. Hopefully.

Jay wondered what Willow was up to, there was a perfectly good free deer open for her to eat and he even heard her stomach growl loudly from laying back against the tree. Then she started to wander off and his head perked up along with his ears, his chewing the only thing on his body still moving at this point he swallows before barking towards Willow. She was quite a ways from him now and he wondered what she was up to again and sighs, she had been acting funny ever since Amber had arrived. Normally she and him were off getting in to trouble and having fun at it but now it was like she was just being reckless while at the same time just being deep in thought all the time. He snorts and waits to see if she'll do next before his hunger took over his curiousity and he went back to stripping the flesh from the calves other leg.

Willow smirked and crept silentily around the bear den. She decided she was going to sneak attack Jay, she just had to be quiet enough. Her smirk turned into a toothy grin. Willow sat behind a high growing bush, her tail wagging behind her. She could see Jay and Amber, eating closly together. Her eyes were making a path from her to her friend, it was clear, but small. Creeping quietly, Willow jumps and lands squarely on Jay's back, "Got cha!" she barks amusingly. Her blue eyes darted toward the food and she jumped off of Jay and lands on the deer. Climbing off, she rips off a chunk of meat and chews it up. This really was better than birds and rabbits, even if it had a strange taste because the creatures were sick.

Jay yelps and runs when Willow jumped him, not knowing what had attacked him he just took off but then it dawned on him that he had left Amber behind so he turns to face his adversary only to find Willow grinning all cheesily at him. " There are words...Ooo and grr being the two adult words I will actually allow myself to say." he laughs rejoining the two fae's quickly as he felt a little embarrassed that it was twice that same evening he had run from danger only to have it laughing in his face that it wasn't danger at all he was running from. " Sorry I ran..." he apologizes to Amber quietly before going back to the feast at hand. He actually felt beyond terrible for leaving her, what if it had been a predator and he had just left Amber like that after she had saved him from the earlier attack. He whimpers softly and lays his head down not much feeling like eating anymore as he just simply felt too ashamed of himself.

Willow makes a cooing sound, one mixed with laughter and sing-song. She felt proud for actually scaring Jay, but a little ashamed. Only pups attacked the older wolves, and that was only for hunting techniques. Grown wolves weren't supposed to do that. Watching how downcast Jay looked, she quickly left the food and laid next to him, "Sorry if I scared you..." she says, her eyes sad, "I was just trying to have some fun. Like before." Willow smiles lightly before getting up again, "Well, I'm going walking again. Feel free to join." the small silver fae barks and begins to walk into the darkening forest.

Jay nudges Willow when she got close to him and his rump starts to move slightly behind him. " I know. It's okay, I just felt stupid and horrible for leaving Amber behind when I thought it was a predator...not very nice behavior since she saved my tailless butt." he smiles, " And if you're not careful I'm just going to have to pay you back for that nice little scare you gave me." he says before going back to eating, she starts for the woods and talks about taking a walk when an evil smile spreads slowly across his face. He slowly rises and runs at her without warning then jumps to tackle her to the ground, his mouth wrapping around her ear he starts to tug playfully at it with a growl. " Maw ay ave ew!" he mumbles from her ear meaning now I have you.

Willow smiles slyly and perks her ears at Jay's comment, "I'll be waiting." she barks at Jay. Walking, she doesn't notice Jay hopping onto her untill he has tackled her to the ground. Giving out a yelp, she rolls over and smiles. Rubbing her back on Jay like he was the ground, she was getting an itch she had forever. Feeling the tug on her ear, she barks at the golden male under her, "I'm guessing this is what you meant by 'getting me back', huh?"

Jay nods with a grin spreading across his face antagonizing her to try and remove her ear from his mouth. Today was the coolest day he had ever remembered having in a very long time, he hadn't played this much since he had been in his old pack and he realizes it was what he had been missing most about them. Maybe, just maybe if he was lucky he could keep this new littler pack he was in and then he could finally start living instead of roaming and searching for a pack he would never find again.

Willow yips and rolls off of Jay, poking him with a paw,"You're it." she whispers into his ear before running away. Looking back, she bows playfully and wags her tail, taunting him slightly, turning and running away again. Willow jumps onto a giant boulder and crawls onto the top, it's a good thing she has strong hind legs, or she might have hit her head on the rock. Looking out into the forest, Willow watches for Jay so she can run again.

Jay barks happily as he gets up and chases after Willow, but when he watched her leap onto the tall boulder he stops in his tracks. There was no way he'd be able to follow after her without the use of his front leg, however he walked over and hopped up to set his good front paw on the rock to then scratch at it and whine. He hated the restrictions that were placed upon him when he got shot and when he had chewed his own tail off, balance was terrible without the long thing behind him to support him and find his center. As for the leg, running was starting to prove its self more difficult then running now apparently his joints were taking his weight a lot less then usual and they were starting to ache just from standing on them without the other limb. He whimpers and circles his butt to sit at the base of the stone for just a few seconds before he started back towards Amber.

Willow pops her head around the boulder hearing Jay whine. Crouched down, she leaps, landing on his back, "Got you!" she barks triumphantly. Sitting there, she feels kinda weird, since when do wolves sit on other wolves? Oh yeah, when they're dead wolves. That's when. Jumping up into the air, she lands behind him and smiles, "Gonna come get me?" Willow's voice was teasing and happy.

Amber laid a little bit aways now, slightly near their kill as Jay and Willow played so she just lied there not wanting to interupt or bother them by trying to play too. A heavy yawn caught the little fae, orbs closing and a sigh leaving her nares as she was exhausted again. With a full belly and the terra quiet other than the sounds of Jay and willow prancing about in their play the fae was soon asleep, sleeping soundly with her crown on her fores.

Jay yelps when she lands on his back again and it hurt, he whimpers and very slowly gets back up much slower then usual for him while he was in a playful mood. When she asked if he was going to get her he shook his head no, any other time he would have happily continued their small game of tag but his joints just felt like they were on fire now and it wasn't a pleasant experience. He decides that perhaps a small rest would be in order so he lays back down and sighs laying his chin over his extended fore and watches Willow before looking for Amber who seemed to have disappeared. He figured she might have gone to the den to sleep and decides that was perhaps a better idea for him to be with there now being predators in the area that could easily view him as a buffet meal waiting on a line just to be picked off. So he again slowly rises with a little wince before slowly hobbling off to the den.

Willow sits where she is and stays there. Her ears were pressed up against her skull and her head was pushed forward a little. Looking up, she sees dark gray clouds hanging across the sky. It might rain later, she thought. Pushing her ears up, she stands up and prances around in the forest. Before she knew it, she was doing impersinations of her mom and dad, "Sleeping Willow," she said in a gruff voice, like her father's,"You are hunting wrong, you need to pull our hinds closer!" she snarled lightly. Smiling, Willow laughs slightly before copying her mother. Thinking a moment, she could remember before the little war between the neightboring pack, "Sleeping Willow, you must escape," the hurt in her mother's eyes had startled her,"I don't want you to die. Go get Swift Star and run as fast as you can! Get as far away from the mountains as possible!" and then the war had started. Sitting down, Willow glares at a tree, it slowly becoming fuzzy. And before she knew it, she was crying.

Jay spots Amber on his way back towards the den out by the two kills they had just feasted upon, by the looks of it she had fallen asleep as well but he didn't find it safe that she was sleeping where she was. So he slowly but surely made his way over to her to gently nose her side, " Amber...come with me to the den, we'll catch a nap there...it's not safe to be out here like this." he whispers in her ear before giving it a few licks as he tried to entice her to get up and follow him not wanting to take the chance that she may or may not be safe out there by those carcasses that were no doubt luring predators or at least scavengers to them.

Amber woke reluctantly when Jay nosed her side, having rolled onto her side in her sleep she curled her peds closer against herself as the brute whispered in her aud and gradually she woke more. Licking her nose and stretching the little fae mumbled out a light agreement to follow him, yawning heavily and shaking out her crown before moving to pull herself up onto her pads tiredly. She had that slightly numb feeling she got whenever she took a nap and it felt kinda good, meant she would be able to get back t sleep easily once back to the den. Her tassel swayed just gently then realizing she would be able to lay with him and she followed him to the den, staying close to his hind as they walked.

Jay smiles when she rose and stepped back to watch as she stood to shake out her derma then follow him. He turns and starts for the den, slow and steady as he goes hopping back to the hole where he plops into the opening to find his way back over to the spot he had marked up with his scent. He parts his jaws to let out a long yawn as he awaited Amber to join him inside the den.

Amber was soon slipping down into the den behind Jay, limping slowly over to their spot where Jay had marked. Once close to him she nuzzled her face tenderly into his shoulder with an affectionate murr. Licking his nape slightly for just a few moments Amber was soon laying down, right up next to where he had marked as she wanted to be close to him. Looking up at Jay she waited for him to lay down, giving him a gentle smile.

Jay lowers himself to the terra with a sigh, he licks his fores a few times before turning and giving Amber's crown a few licks before getting closer to her. The feeling of the rise and fall of her chest against his sides was slow, rhythmic and starting to put the big brute out like a light. His eyes slowly drooping lower and lower as he tried to stay awake, an audit twitching here and there until finally he went still. He starts to snore lightly but it was more like just heavy breathing as he was exhausted from the days events. He could smell Willow and Amber which bled into his dreams, he started to dream about what it would be like if just the three of them stayed out in those plains for the rest of their lives.

Amber lied her crown down against Jays fore as he licked her, sighing contently and closing her tired orbs with a heavy yawn and a stretch. Audits drooping the little fae soon fell asleep before the brute, curling tightly into his frame and squirming in her sleep to press her crown into his chest before relaxing and going still again against him.
