Jay finds himself at the Lunar Plain

Jays ears had picked up the commotion in the woods and had looked that way when all of a sudden he heard the small fae let out a soft noise and turning back he got a nose placed upon his own. He pulls away shyly and laughs a little, " Why hello there...nice of you to join me." he says almost sing songy before he remembered what drew his attention away and he whimpers moving, " I think Willows in trouble..." he says more to himself then to the young fae, he had a gut feeling and as much as he could try to explain it he had always gotten them since he was younger and they had never served him wrong before. He makes his way down the outcropping of rocks to start towards the woods, catching a whiff of blood in the air he panics and leaps forward. She had saved his butt plenty of times, now it was his turn to help...but when he got there all he could find was blood covering the ground and the scent was so strong he couldn't find his friend and he froze in his spot only to have a huge cat pounce on him from seemingly no where. He yelps and screams as the fierce feline dug its claws into his back and sides, had this all been a trap to get him? Cats were known for their devious nature but where was Willow and the other fae, he hoped they were safe as he turned to try and fight it off but in his current state he was no match. It had it pinned and was parting its maw to go ahead and start eating him alive and he whimpered something pathetic and squeezed his eyes shut waiting for the excruciating pain to start.

Willow pops out of her bush and attacks the cat, "You don't hurt my friend." she growls at it. Then runs off leading it away. She had to save Jay, he was the last wolf she would ever think of as family. Slowing down to catch her breath, the cat attacks her again. Willow sinks to her knees limply and feels the cat's long claws dig into her flesh again. This wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. It was ike the fight with the Pack of Falling Stars, only worse with more blood and claws. Then the cat's claws scratched her back open a little, she gives out a shriek and jumps forward, almost falling off the cliff in front of her, "Oh great Lupus..." she whispers. The cat growls and jumps, apparently trying to get in front of her. But it falls off the edge and lays on the bottom, probably dead or stunned. Willow turns around and races back to Jay, "Jay? Jay are you okay?" her voice was amost a howl of pure desperation. She couldn't let her friend die, he was too precious to her.

Amber had followed Jay quickly off the out cropping of rocks, she could smell the blood too and a soft chill ran down her spine as her audits perked. Suddenly Jay had stopped and she looked over just as a giant cat threw itself into him, "Jay!" She yelled and instantly broke into a flat out run towards them. Lunging for the feline a sheer snarl past through the faes jaws, snatching the back of the things neck and flinging it away from them both as it had seemed to freeze when she latched onto it. Hackles on end and canines bared the fae let a low growl bubble up out of her throat as she was ready to have it out with the cat. Auds pinned she darted forward toward the thing, listening to its threatening hisses and growls before she managed to wrap her jaws around the things throat but not without it sinking it's talons down into her cheeks.

Jay felt the large cat get removed from his side and he opens his eyes to watch them both working together to rid him of the predator. Willow was trying to lure it closer to a ravine where as the little one was trying to take it head on and he knew they needed his help, they were both smaller then him facing a cat that was twice the size of him. No way! he'd just stand there and watch, he makes his way closer as quickly as possible before yelling out to the thing. " HEY YOU STUPID CAT YOUR DINNERS OVER HERE!!" then turned his butt around to wag it in the felines face while giving out a prompt Nah nah nah nah nah you can't catch me. It worked, he got a swipe to his rump and he yelped scooting his butt forward to give both of the fae's enough time to kill it without it injuring them as he focused the feline brutes attacks on him with well placed kicks to the jaw and taunts.

Willow snickers at Jay's wagging rump. Jumping down the rocks of the ravine to see if the puma was dead. It was almost dead, good enough for her though. It was almost like a bear, vicious and huge. Her ear was teitching again, this time it was faster than usual. She lays her paw on it again, "Stop twitching!" she growls at herself. That's when she finally felt the scratch on her back. She looks back to see her back was bleeding terribly and it looked like her spine was popping out, "Ehh..." Willow stares at it for a while, "Maybe I should do something about this." she looks forward, "What did Rushing River tell me about this before she died?" Pondering around in her head, she hadn't noticed the puma's last breath, although she heard some faint words coming from its mouth.

Once the large cat had fallen down into the ravine Amber shook out her crown with a whimper, her cheeks hurt and were bleeding and as she looked down she saw the long gashes carved into her chest. Whining to herself she slinked forward towards Jay to check on him, giving the wound at his hind a gentle lick and looking up at him before heading off down into the ravine also, just a couple of steps behind Willow. Hopping down near the feline the fae pinned her audits to her skullcap and leaned down giving Willow a glance, she was starting off at nothing it seemed, before she took the dieing cats neck between her jaws. It shouldn't have to suffer, nothing did. With a swift and painless snap Amber snapped the felines neck and listened to it's last breath before heading back up to where she had left Jay. Soon she was back beside him, blood staining her white cheeks and chest.

Jay watches the two faes from a top the ravine before the pain in his back and sides was too overwhelming and he had to lay down to start tending to his wounds so he saw nothing of the felines demise. Instead he licked long slow licks over the wounds as he had with each scar that riddled his body, luckily the two had come along when they had for most of the injuries were just simple flesh wounds that would be healed in a few days. When he looked up hearing something coming over the crest of the ravine he turned his head to look, seeing Amber he rose with some difficulty to lick at her cheek that was stained with the pumas blood. " Thanks..." he tells her for saving his life and tends to her wounds then. If anyone knew anything about wounds and healing he certainly did with all the trouble he had gotten into in his life this was just another scar in his side so to speak.

Coming over the edge of the ravine and seeing Jay right there she smiled softly to him, padding quietly on over to him as he stood before he thanked her and she shook her crown no, he didn't have to thank her. Getting the lick to her cheek she smiled again, looking up at him with soft warm orbs as he started to tend to her wounds. "Here lay back down.." she breathed as she slowly laid down beside his pedistals, making sure her bleeding chest didn't really touch anything. Rolling over slowly onto her side the fae pawed lightly at the brutes nose, needing help cleaning her wounds as she couldn't.

Willow watches Amber and smiles her funny looking smile. Hopping back up to the top of the ravine, she looks at Jay and looks around, "Anyone seen cobwebs?" she tries not to bend too much for fear that her spine might actually pop out. Willow jumps into the closest tree and lays there, half on the branch half hanging off. Then she spots a few cobwebs, reaching for them, she has just enough to treat Jay and Amber's wounds. Hopping back down, she walks over to them, "Anyone want some cobwebs?" her bark was muffled, but without their answer, she begins to treat them anyways.

Jay was lost to the business around him, " But I don't think I should..." he had started to respond to Amber uncertain that it would be appropriate for him to do but rather for Willow to then he turns to answer another question but Willow bounds off without even a response and he feels almost dizzy like he had just chased them both in different circles to no end. With there only being him left he had to care for the little fae's wounds to her chest, " Just hold still..." he says looking from her chest to her nervously as he had never EVER thought of being this close to a girl before and his gut twisted in a nervous knot as he leaned down to lick her wounds softly. His off balanced nature about the situation went away as soon as he was focused on her wounds and not on the task of licking her chest itself, his slobber thicker then usual to mat the up so it was out of the punctures and couldn't infect them. When Willow popped back in it was like he was pulled out of his trance and he stumbled backwards, " I WASN'T DOING ANYTHING." he blurts out and steps away from the cobwebs, " And I certainly don't need those, I'm fine but you're not Willow please lay down so we can help you." he says with a soft whine not wanting to see his friend injure herself more on his behalf.

Willow's ear twitches at Jay's sudden response, "Calm yourself, Jay." she says in a calm voice, as if she was talking to a pup. Placing the cobwebs on his wounds carefully, then backing up to make sure she had them in the right places. Then going back to put more cobwebs on his wounds. Her twitching ear was slowing down, then she felt her other ear flicking, "Stop it, please." she growls at herself before tending to Jay a last time. Slowly, she goes to Amber and places the cobwebs on her wounds, "You two need to lay down. I'll bring us back some food." She goes off in search of small game, since her spine was already jutting out a little. After looking close enough, she had found a bird, squirrel, and a peasent. Dragging her prey back, she laid it down beside her friends and laid down herself, slipping into a weird flashback of what happened before she escaped the mountains. She was scared, shy, and afraid to make any friends for fear that they would get killed like her family. This time, she was deermined to keep them alive, even if it meant loseing her own life.

Amber had relaxed slowly under the brutes licks to her wounded chest, her left fore curled close against her frame while the other laid gently across the terra. The little femme was tired, starting to fall asleep there without meaning to as her orbs closed. Next thing Amber knew Jay was yelling something about him not doing anything and she was whimpering due to the sudden wake up call. Rubbing an eye with a fore she whined accidentally touching her cheek where puncture wounds hid under her thick fur there. Suddenly getting cobwebs put on her cheeks and chest the fae squirmed, they were uncomfortable and as soon as Willow left even after Jays request to lay down she wiped the webs off carefully. Looking over at Jay she gave out a soft yip to the brute, Willow was still out hunting, and showed him her chest again with a whine as she wanted him to come clean it again. She reached out a fore to him and waited for him to see if he would again. After some time Willow returned and the fae had gotten a pheasant set infront of her, laying a paw on the carcass she gently pulled it closer.

Jay getting annoyed pulled the cobwebs off himself, he wasn't sure what they were to accomplish but his injuries were nothing compared to Amber's and Willow's wounds. Spitting them out he grooms his fur again where the wounds were as any such foreign object in the wounds other then his own spit would carry a higher chance of infecting the area. After finishing with that he went to Amber, getting more and more frustrated as his mind wrapped around that Willow had treated him like a pup where as he had years of experience healing she seemed to have none. He starts tending to Amber's wounds again, helped the little fae pull free the sticky webs from her fur this time he didn't have any time to be self conscious about touching a female. When Willow came back to throw the food down and then lay down he quickly went over before she could say or do anything more as she seemed to disappear inside her mind. Jay lays down behind her and pins her neck down with a heavy fore as he set about Willow, it certainly wasn't as bad as Willow thought one could see the whitish clear stuff but that he knew from experience was something the body produced to help heal a wound if it really had been her spine she wouldn't have been able to move. " Now I don't care what you think Willow you're staying put." he growls stubbornly after having cleaned the wound thoroughly. " Eat...ba ba ba I don't want to hear it. EAT!" he says kicking the bird and squirrel in her direction. " You need it much more then I do and I just ate pheasant, I can catch a few field mice if need be."

Plucking her carcasses feathers quietly her auds perked as she watched Jay seem to stomp on over to Willow, not being able to hold back the little giggle that escaped her as she watched him pin her neck down and start cleaning her wound on her back. Getting enough feathers off the thing she gently pulled its skin away from the muscle with her canines before going on to actually eat the thing. Holding the carcass down with a fore she ripped chunks of flesh from the thing, It had been awhile since she had eaten, hunting wasn't exactly her best quality to take advantage of. She cleaned the bird out slowly, making sure no bones or anything touched her cheeks as she listened to Jay and Willow a bit aways from her. Once the fae was finishes eating she pulled herself up onto her pedistals and padded over to the two, laying herself down next to Jay with her shoulder against his hind as she gently curled into herself. Licking her nose softly the femme cleaned her muzzle gently, having done a pretty good job of not getting blood all over herself. She cleaned her cheeks of her own blood also, a yawn escaping the fae after she had finished.

Jay sits watching over them both like a hawk on a perch surveying the land for miles, he was worried about the strong smell of blood in the area attracting worse creatures then the puma but hoped that its death stench would instead warn others to keep away. His ears twitched slightly on his apex as he kept a close eye on everything. With the puma having been around there would be no prey to be had except for field mice unfortunately at least for today. He looks over to Amber and smiles at her warmly before he went back to his watch.

Amber laid her chin gently against Jays hind and back, a heavy yawn escaping the little fae and she shook her crown softly before curling tighter against his frame gently. She looked up as he looked buck at her and she smiled, nosing gently into his fur before closing her tired orbs. The little fae was soon sound asleep against him, auds falling gently to her sides but she could still be able to hear something if anything were to happen while she was asleep there even though she trusted Jay she still didn't want to leave him alone.

Jay lets out a tired yawn and blinks heavily, the puma attack having left him feeling exhausted he stretches out to lay beside the two and lays his chin down on his fores. However he does not succumb to sleep as again they needed the rest more then he did, he was grateful for them both and it didn't matter what either of them said they were his life line if not for them he'd be a cats supper right now. He wondered if maybe this was how packs were started to begin with, a set of lone wolves who decided to ban together for each others benefit. It did make sense, but most packs would have chased him out by now with him not being able to contribute much. He wondered what it was he could contribute to their little group other then shaking his rump in cats faces.

Amber slept there for a long while, waking slowly with a soft whimper as she stretched her hinds slowly before tucking them back into her frame. Yawning heavily Amber rubs her face into Jays hind softly as her eye hurt. Shaking out her crown softly the fae laid her crown back against the brute, gently rolling her pink ribbon along his golden derma in a soft, affectionate grooming along his hip and side. She groomed him for a while before sprawling out onto her side with her back laid against him. Her crown laid against his shoulder as her chin was set against the terra, wrapping her tassel around her cold hind pads and stretching her fores out.

Jay after watching over them for a few hours felt the little one behind him move and he smiles softly, it was time to readdress their wounds and check them for any dirt or debris. First inspecting Willow since she was still in front of him, nodding as her injuries had stopped bleeding and had formed a good looking scab. He turns to Amber and examines her cheek, there was some loose blades of grass there and he gently licked them away he would have to check her chest later when she woke up more. Some crows over head were cawing wanting the remains of their meals so he got up carefully and went to move the bones away from them so the birds could have their pickings. After that his gut rumbled to let him know he HAD to eat. So he got low in the grass and waved his butt slightly as he peered through the tall grasses to watch as moles and mice scurried in the underbrush. He had disappeared, only to spring up and pounce on a rodent then scoop it up in his mouth to crush its skull with his teeth and swallow it down. Performing this task several times to start filling up his large belly which was now completely empty.

Willow sits there, whimpering like a pup. A small yip escapes from her mouth, "THank you, Jay." before she slips into sleep. Her ears were still twitching and flicking, but she ignored it. This was probably the weirdest day ever, being in a battle with a puma. Unlikely that would happen again. But her dreams slowly took place and they were of her last day in her pack. The wolves were running around, forming little battle pods. But before they could do anything, the Pack of Falling Stars was in their camp and ripping wolves apart of shredding their flesh. Willow, being the youngest in her pod, had somehow escaped. But only to be brought back into the battle. Then everythin went black. And even without the dream around her, she could feel her whole body twitching. But the dream kept flowing and she suddenly woke up face to face with Jay. She had helped him, and then he was gone. She looked and looked then followed his scent. Found him, and then was found in this predicament. Popping open her eyes, she shiveed at a strange thought and crawled into the closest tree.

Jays head pops up out of the grass, the only part of him visible now with a tail hanging out the side of his mouth as he crunched on his little snack. His head moving almost like a ground hog inspecting the area before springing out of its hole he watched as Willow got up, she was taking it easier on her body then before and grateful that she was he sighs wondering what had woken her. As she walked to the hollowed out tree stump and then ducked inside he could tell by the way she walked that she was defeated, whether in her dreams or just feeling tired he wasn't sure but he wouldn't interrupt her in her thoughts. She always shared with him when she wanted to and not a second before so he just shrugs it off, she was fine for now and didn't need him worrying over her so he sinks slowly back into the grass almost secret agent style as he did waiting for the next mole or mouse to get brave enough to move. Appearing over the grass again he sees something off in the distance and stops mid-pounce and comes down hard on his front leg, wincing a little from the strain it put on the ankle he sniffs the air. A plume of smoke had appeared in the sky, black and the air reeked of ash and soot. It came from the mountains where the humans were and he gave out a low growl before he went back to his hunting, he had been able to tell they had just lit up their smoke house meaning the hunting season was back on for them. His heart was pounding hard in his chest as fear bubbled up into his throat forming an uncomfortable lump there that took forever to swallow back down, he watched frozen in his fear and shook for a moment before forcing himself to tear his eyes away and try to calm himself down. Telling himself it took months for him to get here and the traps had stopped long ago that their reach couldn't extend here, could it? he asks himself as he stepped on a mouse and it bit his toe to then click its teeth at him angrily. " Sorry sorry." he apologizes and removes his foot the rodent scurries off to rejoin its family. A BUTTERFLY!! it was blue and black, somehow he hadn't noticed it until it landed square at the end of his nose. " Hello there mister butterfly." he says and it took flight dotting around in the air as it made its way through the plains and he prances after it the humans hunting season far from his mind now as it was distracted by the pretty butterfly friend.

Amber watched Jay with a soft smile as he hunted there in the long grasses, stretching her lengthy fores and hinds across the terra. Her audits swiveling towards Willow before her orbs shifted to watch her get up and start to move away. She looked shaken and she wanted to whimper to her and ask what was wrong but she figured it wasn't her place as the fae had just met her. Once Willow had slinked off the fae sat up slowly, shaking out her soft derma with a light yawn. Rolling her pink ribbon gently over her right shoulder the little femme started to groom herself, getting rid of any dirt or clinging debris that may want to stick to her multicolored pelt. Once the fae finished her grooming she cleaned her chest ever so gently but whimpered when it hurt, it felt better when Jay did it. Looking back over at Jay then Amber's audits perked up seeing a pretty blue butterfly fluttering away from him and her tassel began to sway watching him follow it. It looked fun and she wanted to play too. Hopping up off her hinds the fae trotted off towards Jay, bounding into the grasses and up behind Jay near his hind. She nipped his hind playfully, giving him a soft yip as her tassel swayed.

Jay yelps and screams when Amber nipped his hinds, scared out his mind he runs. For some reason he looks back and seeing only Amber he slows to a stop realizing that his mind had simply ran away with him having thought humans were back to capture him and drag him back to that hole of a place they called a farm probably because of the smoke he had seen. He hops back over to her and the butterfly who had just fluttered about unphased by the wolfs outburst. He was rather embarrassed when he returned to her and hung his head. " Sorry...thought you were something else..." he explains, but then gets distracted when the butterfly flies in front of his face, tickling his nose, " HEY..." he giggles and hops up to play with it again.

Amber whimpered and plopped her rump to the terra with her auds off to the sides as Jay screamed and fled from her, whimpering as she hadn't meant to scare him. When he looked back at her she looked up at him with a low crown and swaying tassel, trying yo show him she had only wanted to play. When he padded back over to her her auds perked up, listening to his a apology but just licking his nose to show him it was okay. Then the butterfly's fluttered infront of them and she giggled as he hopped up and she DD the same, jumping up to try and poke the little thing with her nose gently.

Jay hops after the pretty butterfly but when it started to rise up in the air he whimpers then starts barking at it. " Wait! Please come back." he whines then watches it float back down and his rump starts to wag so much that to follow it again he was waddling his back hips to keep up with it and show his happiness at the same time. Then without watching where he was going he ends up tripping on Amber and tumbles to the terrain, uncertain at first what happened he looks around only to see the butterfly waving through the air away from them both.
