Willow snapped out of her crying. Her eyes were sore, and she was growling at herself, "Why are you crying!" she snarled loudly, her hackles raised as high as they could go, "You ran when your mom told you so!" she was arguing with herself. Why? She had weird feelings boiling in her at this moment. "But you left behind your baby sister. She's probably dead, why would you leave her?" her tears were threatning to spill over again. But luckily, the rain had become a steady spirnkle, "Why did you do that, Sleeping Willow?" her head swirled and she heard her father's voice in her mind. She answered, only very softly, "Because I was afraid. I'm a coward. Afraid to fight, afraid to lose my friends..." Laying down under some tree roots, she sighs. She wasn't going back to the den tonight. Nope.

Jay stretches lightly in his sleep before he moved closer into Amber, still deep in his rem cycle he didn't know it was her pelt he was finding comfort in for he was dreaming about his childhood. Just reliving memories come and gone inside his thick skull, good times of him playing with the younger pups and being dubbed the Omega of the pack and how proud his parents had been of him. They were both higher up but still proud, they had taught him when he had been small that even the lowest wolf in the pack has its place that no wolf can stand alone. He had never understood that when he had been just a small pup because lone wolves could technically stand on their own, but that wasn't what they had meant by it. He knew now by his travels trying to find them and from leaving many a wolf behind in his wake that they had been right, he had faced all those terrible things and only because he hadn't been alone was he able to now survive.

Willow looked out into the sheeting rain. Sighing, she curled up closer into herself and closed her eyes, leaving just the tip of her silver tail hanging in the dripping rain. She had to stop thinking about the past and move on. It was making her have a sudden urge to go back to the mountains and see if her sister was still there. But of couse she wouldn't, there were huge wolves in the camp when she tried to get Swift Star back. And when she had turned to run, the pups were screaming at the top of their lungs and then she heard Dropping Water growl and whimper, being torn to bits. Willow's ears twitched ad she drifted into an uneasy sleep.

Next Day

Jay slowly begins to stir out of his deep sleep, drooling out the corner of his mouth a pool of saliva had made a mud puddle under his cheek for part of the night so that when he jolted out of his deep sleep to look around with eyes that were trying to decide between staying open or staying closed he had his cheek fluff caked with mud that matted it to his face. He blinks several times while producing a long sustained yawn then shook out his cranium to then start cleaning himself for the day ahead. His stomach rumbled lightly to tell him it was time to eat again but if there were any luck their previous kills would be where they lay otherwise scavangers probably picked them clean during the night. He turns seeing Amber still asleep he looks around for a minute to see if Willow or any other animal were around to spy on him while he stole a kiss from her. He leans in closing his orbs as he drew his tongue along the length of her muzzle, enjoying it he scoots just a little closer and gives her a few more feeling it should be safe seeing as no one was coming and she didn't seem to be waking up.

Amber sighed contently in her sleep as Jay kissed over her muzzle, squirming to press closer into the brutes warm frame before going still against him again. Slowly the little fae woke but feeling the kisses and not wanting them to stop her orbs didn't open and she didn't move in the slightest. Waiting a few more minutes as she enjoyed her kisses the little femme finally moved, only to suddenly and without warning kiss Jay on the lips. Smiling softly she ran her muzzle slowly along his, a soft murr escaping her.

Jay became startled when she was suddenly awake and kissing up the length of his muzzle, he froze. That's how he remained to as his heart pounded away in his chest making it difficult to hear past it as his mind was going about a hundred thoughts a second it seemed. Ways of getting out of this, it was all just a dream, why had he been so careless, she was kissing him though so it couldn't be bad...etc etc unfortunately while he was lost in all of this chaos he forgot one thing. So that when he finally remembered to breathe he took in a great gasp of air and felt so embarrassed with it all he started to move a little from her, but not wanting to be far from her as his feelings for her were just growing the more time he spent with her. Then he looks at her, really looks at her because well now he was just feeling awkward and was uncertain what to do next.

Willow makes a loud yawning sound, her eyes were opened to a dark sky again. Which was good, because she was out in the open and like in the mountains, if you slept in the open, you were tempoarily blinded for a few moments. Finally, after stretching her stiff joints, she crawls out and stands. Her fur was caked with mud and her tail tip was damp. Blinking, she felt that her eyes were still sore from her worthless, pathetic sobbing. Shrugging everthing off, she trots off towards the den. Her fake smile was plastered to her face as she took a chunk of the sodden deer and sits against a tree. Willow wondered if anybody had heard her imitations and she laughed slightly, probably not. Besides the creepy bird that looked at her like she was insane all the time. Gnawing on the bone, she silently made an accusation at herself, she had never actually met her sister and never even wanted her to have been born. "Selfish mutt." she growls at herself and gets up to get Jay and Amber, "Rise and shine!" she barks joyfully, "Did I miss something?" her smirk had become quite smug. The way Jay was looking at Amber, she guessed something embarrassing just went down. Walking back out of the den, Willow sits down and gnaws absent mindedly on her food.

Amber stopped her affections reluctantly when Jay gasped suddenly, perking her auds gently toward him before he started to move away and she whimpered, confused as he had been the one giving her kisses first. He just looked at her then and her audits dropped slowly to their sides, looking back up at him with confused orbs as she tried to figure out what he was thinking and what was wrong. Suddenly Willow bursted in yelling rise and shine and Amber jumped with a yip, pressing closer into Jay and looking back at Willow who was just caked in mud. Flicking an aud when she bounded back out of the den the little fae looked back to Jay, her auds dropping again as she gave the brute a quiet whimper. She wanted kisses from him and she wanted to kiss him, a soft sigh leaving the femme before she slowly moved to give Jays maw a little lick to show him that.

Jay couldn't think of what to do at first, when Willow came in he thought perhaps he had gotten the distraction he had needed but Amber yipped and snuggled back into him. Watching Willow retreat he looks back to Amber at the same time she looks up at him, it was one of those perfect moments that only comes around briefly before its gone. He wouldn't miss out on it this time, he presses his nose to hers then licks up the side of her muzzle closing his eyes while he did it several times and starts to murr to her. His heart was pounding asking him what was he thinking, but there really was no thinking at this point it was only feeling and that feeling was that if he didn't kiss her...if he didn't pick that perfect moment that it would be lost and she would never know how he truly felt about her and he wouldn't let that happen.

Amber gave out something of a sigh of relief when Jays nose pressed into hers and within moments she was murring. He was kissing her then, all up her muzzle and her orbs closed while her long ribbon came out to kiss all along his cheek fluff and whatever else she could reach on him as they kissed each other. The faes fore moved to drape across Jays frame almost as if she didn't hold him there somehow he would move away. Her heart raced as happy whimpers escaped the little fae, squirming to press into the brutes nape as she kissed all up his throat and even gave it gentle excited nips as her tassel swayed and her whimpers continued to him.

Jay stops kissing her only to run his muzzle along the length of hers, he pulls his head back only to open his eyes and speak with her. " Let's not keep Willow waiting." he says knowing it would be rude if they just forgot about the other fae's presence there, she was patiently waiting for them both as far as he could tell and he didn't want Willow to peek in while they were kissing he was still very shy about his feeling for Amber. He was also hungry and his stomach rumbles lightly as if to say to her too, yeah I'm hungry. Before she would move though he would give her another kiss just to let her know that he still liked her very much and didn't really want her to move from him but they would have to eventually and why not when his tummy was in an uproar about him getting breakfast in it.

Amber rubbed her muzzle tenderly along Jays when he stooped kiss her, sighing contently to him but when his face moved away from hers she wanted to whine, her orbs opening with drooped auds as she looked up at her brute. His words made her whimper, she didn't want to move away from him for any reason at all. Why couldn't they just lay in the den together all day. A heavy sigh escaped the little fae hearing the brutes stomach rumble before he gave her one last kiss before they went to meet Willow. Before she moved Amber returned his kiss, running her ribbon tenderlh across his lips before moving to give his neck just a couple kisses.

Willow was running through what must have gone on in the time she was gone. They were so close together, it was like a pup and its mother after a long seperation. She laughed again, quite loud at that, and rolled over with the bone in her jaws. Her front paws were flailing and she looked a little rabid. But like before, her restlessness had settled in quite nicely. Maybe she should imitate her parents more often, it was actually kind of fun. Sitting up, Willow adjusts her blue eyes on a frog that was watching her, "You need to get those eyes checked, they look pretty tired." she said in her most medicine wolf-like voice. Rushing River had sounded exactly like that. Who else could she imitate? Oh yes, Jagged Rocks, standing, Willow puffs out her chest and presses her ears to her skull, "The Pack of Falling Stars has come to raid us. We must meet them before they get to the camp!" her voice was kind of deep. But not as deep as her past leader's voice was. One more wolf, then she would stop for today, "Oh, Swooping Crane," she said in a seductive voice, "I just can't stop looking at you!" she stopped and looked at herself. Breaking into a laughing fit, saying out loud, "Oh my, Still Waterfall, you were so hilarious." her laughing turned into hiccups, and so she stopped and continued to chew on the bone.

Jay had given her a kiss before slipping past her to crawl out of the den entrance to Willow facing away from him and talking in different voices. He dips his head back in and gives Amber a little shush then a signal with his head to hurry and come see. He moves his head out of the opening so she could come see, he sits down and quirks a brow as he listened to her go on even has to suppress a laugh when she puffed her chest out and tried to talk like a male wolf. He looks over to Amber and quirks a brow as if to say can you believe this?

Willow laughs at herself again, trying to suck in her hiccups. But, to no appeal, it was failing. And then the creepy frog jumped onto her mud caked stomach and startled her, making her jump a good way back, "What the!" she growls at the frog, her sore, red eyes were becoming blurry. Apparently, she hadn't gotten much sleep last night. Normal for her. When Willow looked down, she noticed that she had snapped the thick bone between her teeth and it was broken in half. Snickering, she looks over at the den and puts on her fake smile, "You're finally up!" she barks joyfully, "I was wondering when the love birds were gonna get out here!" her smile was fading a little, but she kept it up anyways. Looking down, she decides to go clean herself up, "I'm going to clean. See ya later!" she calls over her shoulder as she runs over to the ravine where the river was.

Amber blinked lightly as Jay turned back to shush her before he signalled for her to come and she trotted forward quietly to slip up next to him and pop her head out of the den to peek towards Willow. Watching the fae act out what seemed to be other wolves in different voices Amber giggled lightly, not close to loud enough for Willow to hear as her tassel swayed slowly inside the den. When Jay looked over to her and quirked a brow she gave him a smile, giving his nose a quick kiss before going back to peeking out at the fae. Soon though Willow had turned and seen them, smiling and prancing over as she barked out to them. The words love birds hit Amber's audits and slowly they pulled back shyly. Willow decided she was going to go clean up and bounded off and once she was out of hearing range she turned to Jay, "Guess it's just us again."

Jay chuckles and nods to Amber, " Yeah...Willow's always been kind of off the wall like that...but in a good way. She has this thing about staying still...apparently she can't do it." he laughs again," I'm just teasing but she should be more careful." he continues rising to his paws to start towards the kills, " Almost every time she wanders off like that either we get separated from one another or something tries to eat her, I think it's cause she's a smaller wolf that predators think she's easy prey...either that or they're trying to distract her to get to me...who knows how these other predators think. Besides as wolves we just tend to thrive better in groups then off alone, at least that's what I've learned through my travels alone." he says just about to the carcasses when he finished speaking on the matter having smelled that the kills from yesterday were indeed still there, he could see that something small had come along and had ate at it but there was still a good portion of meat there for all three of them to get another meal from it.

Willow hums a strange little tune while she trots to the ravine. The smell of rain and rabbit were fresh everywhere, not to mention a herd of deer. Her mind was racing about if the dead puma were still there, or if something had taken a liking to the dead creature and had eaten it. She shuddered at the thought of another puma eating the other. It sickened her, although she'd seen this act of cannibilism before in the mountains, but it was with other wolves. Sick, rabid wolves who fought the packs around to get whatever prey they could. "La di di da." she humed, her excitment was bubbling up in her stomach, she couldn't wait to see what had happened to the puma. When she arrived, she jumped down and scoured the terrain, her ears perked for any movement around her. There it was, the large cat was laying on its side, and was cut open in the stomach. A nasty smell hit Willow's nose and it made her sneeze. Walking over, she saw something horrid. Another puma was eating the others' organs. Her breath hitched and she began to back away slowly, as not to catch its attention. Her breathing was slow and steady, as she had this problem when she was escaping the mountains. Rabid wolves eating each other, she turned and dashed back toward the little camp, "Jay! Amber!" she called when she thought she was in ear shot, her paws flung her into the den side and she sat there, lost in her thoughts.

Jay had been eating his fill when his ear twisted quickly on top of his skull and his head darted up, there was not a moments hesitation as he flew forward. His paws felt as though they weren't even touching the ground as he sprinted for where he had heard Willow yelp out for him. He reached the ravine but didn't stop, his eyes had taken in what had to be done and he leaps from the crevice. His body flew only for a few seconds before the big wolf's weight pulled him down but did so to land right on top of the rabid mountain lion that had started to give chase to the young wolf. " You will not have them." he growls as his jaws come down on the carnivores back, it yowls and then growls as it struggled to shake him free of its back but he wasn't letting go. The blood started to fill his mouth and he did his best to try to not swallow it knowing if he caught the deadly disease he would go mad inside his own mind. A good shake sent him flying and he hit a tree trunk hard, it knocked the air out of him and he wheezes to try to catch it as the mountain lion seeming to forget its wounds now was slowly stalking the area around the tree. " Come get some..." he says breathlessly but bares his teeth to show the creature his intentions.

Willow jumps up when she sees Jay and starts to shiver slightly before crouching next to her friend. Her ears were twitching, "Remember, rabid creatures can't see right. Plus, they can't walk right." Her silver speckled tail was wagging slightly and she began to walk slowly around the other side of the area. Willow was feeling braver now that Jay was here, and she wasn't going to let him possibly die because of her. Protection was shared upon pack wolves, right? Yes. Crouching close to the ground, Willow got ready to pounce if the mountain lion sprang.

Jay nods to what Willow had said, he squirmed in his spot with his back against the tree. " Here kitty kitty kitty..." he taunted it and it lunges forward, with that he ducked for it to land smack into the tree trunk and knock itself out. He turns to Willow, " I think that's our cue to run." he says before trying to race up the embankment, but he soon realized something wasn't quite right as he got only so far then seemed to not be getting any closer to the top. He looks back to find the dirt avalanche's underneath his paws and he pushes harder, panting with his tongue lolled out to the side as he tried to get higher but instead it sank him into the embankment and he whines as his legs grew tired and he was slowly starting to slip back down towards the still unconscious mountain lion but he sure as heck didn't want to be around when it woke up.

Willow giggles watching the puma slam itself into a tree. Nodding, she chases after Jay and swivles her ears around, "What happens if it follows our scent?" Her question was muffles when she ends up grabbing Jay by the scruff. Willow had never noticed but climbing p this dirt slide was quite hard, but she spread out her paws and walked on the dirt, she hadn't done this since she left all the snow behind. It felt strange again, but once she reached the top, she let go of Jay and sits down, her blue eyes flickering from the ravine to her friend to the forest, "Shall we run?" she asks in a teasing voice.

Jay felt her grab the scruff of his neck and help yank him up the embankment, her words about leading it back to their home made his heart sink. He hadn't even thought of leading it straight back to the den and when they got over the ridge he noticed Amber realizing they both should have probably finished the creature off while they had the chance he mentally kicks himself. " Perhaps its time we all move on, this place is scented so heavily in blood we're just going to attract more undesired guests." he says quickly joining Amber, " Come on. We're leaving this place." he tells her as his eyes still remained on that embankment just waiting to see the tips of the mountain lions ears coming over it but so far they were lucky.

Willow's eyes fly open in unexpectancy of leaving so soon, "Really? Where are we going to go now?" her eyes were wandering around the terrain outside the forest before they landed on the distant mountains. Her nose crinkled at the thought of going back the way they came, and a small snarl ripped from her throat. Uncalled for, woah Willow, calm down. She plasters her fake smile to her face, "We could go to where ever we were heading for first!" she yips to herself, well, that was actually supposed to stay inside, not come out. Sitting down, she wriggles around waiting to hear where it was they were to go.

(Sorry :c You guys mind if I say Amber tried to help with the Puma and it knocked her out somehow?)

It was dark for the longest time inside her head, and silent.. there were no stories that played out or sounds to listen to. It was just.. nothing. It scared Amber but there was nothing she could do about anything, her body wouldn't respond and she couldn't even open her eyes. Suddenly she could hear Jays voice near her and she whimpered inwardly, her head hurt suddenly and now the noise all seemed to be ringing at once until finally she could open her eyes. Everything seemed to bright and her frame was trembling, she whimpered slowly before trying to move. Shakily she sat up, extremely out of it as she looked over at Jay with almost a tired glance.
